ABOUT

Naomi Deyell is a Vancouver-based multidisciplinary artist and psychology student at the University of British Columbia, working toward a counselling and art therapy career. Her work explores intersectionality, sexuality, mental illness, and the impact of religious repression. Drawing on her Japanese-Scottish heritage and ex-Mormon upbringing, she examines how cultural and societal forces shape female identity. Through a blend of psychological inquiry and personal narrative, her art becomes a visual dialogue on adversity and resilience.
